JENNIFER KIELY

Jennifer Kiely is a graduate intern (site supervised by Lona Snell) who is currently working towards a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked as a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) in a trauma counseling center previously and has taught psychoeducational groups as well as one-on-one counseling to individuals, including combat veterans and first responders. Jennifer has 12 years of experience working with youth and college students as an educator and mentor and has gained clinical experience counseling adolescents and adults on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Jennifer believes that each of her clients possess the ability to grow towards wellness and seeks to foster that belief in each of them by exploring their strengths and empowering them. She’s uses a variety of techniques and takes an integrative approach grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy. Jennifer is currently being trained with EMDR protocol as a therapeutic option. She realizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and seeks to create a warm, trusting environment that is full of respect and unconditional positive regard. 

In her free time, Jennifer loves adventures, being on the water, baseball, and spending time with her family, loved ones, and kids. She is also from a family of 2 first responders in Montgomery County.
